In peace and solidarity, Susan Letendre, RO, Witness for Peace New England

Today’s news:
  • Our government’s ongoing support for a lawless government in Honduras,
  • Nearly 50,000 children escaping the impact of policies and business practices that led to deepened poverty and violence in Central America and Mexico arriving to our borders in the last eight months,
  • A U.S.-funded and directed drug war that continues to take countless lives,
  • U.S. supported right-wing protests attempting to destabilize the elected government in Venezuela.

Educating and organizing around the real impact of our government’s policies and our corporations’ practices in Latin America is as crucial today as it was when WFP began in New England over 30 years ago.

We need your support!  We operate on a very responsible and lean budget. We make the most of the hard-earned resources that our stakeholders so generously give. With your support, we:
  • Present speakers and other learning forums throughout New England,
  • Develop and disseminate educational materials,
  • Send educational emails,
  • Organize campaigns to effect change in policies and practices, and more!
WFPNE is now organizing more locally, bringing in more partners who share our vision. In this way, we can more readily respond to urgently-needed action, present more speakers and forums, and engage a broader base in meaningful collective action.
