Visit to the Equal Exchange Coop
Offices and Factory
October 13, 10:00
50 United Drive, West Bridgewater, MA 02379
Equal Exchange is one of the largest worker-owned,
democratic cooperatives in the country. It is dedicated to lifting the incomes and enhancing the lives of poor farmers all over the world through just, equitable partnerships. It is also the company behind the "UnitedChurch of Christ Coffee Project" which is now sold and served in thousands of congregations in the US.
This visit is a chance to understand the meaning and background of our our "Fairly Traded" coffees and more. We will follow the process from planting to pouring, and tour the plant where the coffees are roasted and packaged. It's a wonderful and enlightening visit.
Bring your mission committee and any others from your church who want to know more about the coffees (and other items) that are changing the world.
